Counseling is a comprehensive, competency-based guidance program that allows counselors to
provide educational, career and personal help to students in a proactive fashion. In this
system, specific objectives are written for each grade level. These objectives are met
through individual and group meetings, as well as via classroom activities and community
resources. Counselors are assigned to manage one “domain” or specialty area. This will help students and parents to know who will provide the specific service necessary. A “response counselor” will be on call daily to immediately address questions and concerns, although they may refer the student/parent to another source for further assistance. |
